I am a terrible mother.
Bones has been scratching, what we thought was his face, for a few days. And today, when I finally investigated this matter close up, I found that he had been scratching his ear so badly that it had started to bleed. I am so ashamed and I feel incredibly guilty for allowing this to happen. Luckily, I had a few supplies from previous ear infections- wiped his ears clean and applied Neosporin on the bleeding part to prevent any form of infection. I checked his ear after returning from dinner and was happy to see that it was less inflamed. We probably should have bought him a cone to prevent further scratching.
God, I feel so terrible. Worst mom award goes to me, at least for this week.
