Fog Ruined Our Day

We got to the airport this morning only to be told that the flight was already closed. There was still fifteen minutes left. We paid the fifty dollars to rebook for the next flight 2 hours later. That flight was over an hour ago. Delta is cancelling flights into JFK and La Guardia left and right. Our flight is still in limbo, but delayed until at least 5:00 this evening. This would make us late for Justin's stony brook open house. I have never seen such disorganization by the employees working the gate. Justin is now trying to rent a car so we can drive from DC to New York and the empty gate desk's phone is ringing off the hook with nobody working to answer it. I have had enough airport drama to last me quite some time.
